Honouring the Land We Live and Work On at Maple Mindset

At Maple Mindset, I acknowledge with gratitude that I live and practice on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), and Mississauga peoples. This land is part of Treaty 3, also known as the Between the Lakes Treaty, signed in 1792.

This land has been cared for and lived on by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial. Their deep connection to the earth, water, and spirit continues to inspire the values of community, reflection, and healing that are central to this space.

As a nurse psychotherapist, Reiki practitioner, and yoga teacher, I recognize the importance of approaching my work with humility and a commitment to continued learning. Honouring this land means honouring the truth of our shared history, the ongoing realities of colonialism, and the resilience of Indigenous communities today.

I remain committed to personal and professional practices that support truth, reconciliation, and equity. This includes listening, learning, and standing in allyship with Indigenous voices and wisdom.
